Baby Families as First Teachers provides a safe and supportive environment. The Baby FaFT programs are where families with babies from birth to 9 months are linked to support services and are able to explore the Abecedarian Approach with their children.
We are proud to be linked in with the Nylander Child Health Centre. New mums from the center are able to attend 6 weeks of ‘Early Bird Classes’ with the child health nurse, once these sessions are finished, families are able to attend the Baby FaFT where they not only continue to support the growth and development of their child but socialize with other mums from the area.
During Baby FaFT we often have special guest speakers and support people visiting depending on the group’s wants and needs.
In the past we have done Infant First Aid training through St Johns Ambulance, Emergency and Care Water Safety and Awareness with Royal Life Saving, Breastfeeding Consultant visits, Starting Solids and Nutrition Support, Mum and Bub Yoga, Oral Health Care, Kanga Training and much more.
Each week at Baby FaFT our school music teacher Ms Sian also runs a 30min music session.
